Chiropractic Care

If your back or neck keeps acting up, headaches won’t leave you alone, or simple things like lifting a grandchild or sitting through a workday feel harder than they should, chiropractic care may be a good fit. At Folweiler Chiropractic, it’s a direct, hands-on approach to addressing joint and muscle concerns without drugs or surgery.

Dr. David Folweiler listens carefully, examines thoroughly, and explains what he sees in plain language. There are no scare tactics, long contracts, or “gotcha” specials—just honest recommendations based on what you actually need.

The goal is simple: help you move more comfortably and get back to the activities you’ve been missing.

What Chiropractic Care Is (And How Dr. Folweiler Practices)

Chiropractic care focuses on how your joints, muscles, and nerves are working, especially along the spine. Dr. Folweiler uses a traditional, hands-on style of adjusting—quick, precise movements to help joints that aren’t moving well begin to move more freely again. It’s not gentle or passive; it’s more like a controlled reset. Most people find it relieving, though some feel a bit stirred up afterward as their body adjusts.

He prefers hands-on adjustments because it allows him to feel how your body responds in real time. Instruments at other offices may look high-tech, but they blunt that tactile feedback—making it harder to adapt precisely to what your body actually needs.

He may also use flexion-distraction, a specialized table that gently moves to help your spine bend and decompress. When appropriate, he adds soft-tissue work, stretching, or tool-assisted care such as Graston technique—a smooth metal instrument used to work on tight or scarred soft tissues.

Why Dr. Folweiler’s Approach Feels Different

With decades in practice and Diplomate-level training in rehabilitation, Dr. Folweiler helps you move from “things done to you” on the table to “things you can do for yourself” between visits—simple exercises, ergonomic changes, and realistic activity plans. He’s also experienced with older patients, hypermobility, and complex cases, and knows when to dial back intensity. The goal is for your body to feel steadier and at ease afterward.
