Here's our smiley boy with ball and hat.

Camille shows off her new ballet outfit. She's been begging for
us to enroll her in ballet lessons. She likes the class a lot, but
I think a big reason is that she gets to wear the pink ballet outfit.

While Camille is at her ballet lessons, Daniel and I
hang out at the park outside the Ballard Community Center.

We dusted off the training potty recently and Daniel gave it a try.
We took his pants and diaper off and he sat on the potty on and off for
twenty or more minutes. He produced nothing. Then Molly took him
into the front room to put a diaper on him. But, before she could get the
diaper on him, he released the contents of his bladder on the rug.

Camille shows off the clown bank she found recently at a garage
sale. Here, we're on our way to the Ballard Sunday market. She
bought a basket of berries with her money (and a substantial subsidy
from her father).

We took a trip to Carkeek Park with Emilio and Karla recently.
Camille insisted on bringing the berries she bought (in the paper bag)
and a picnic lunch (in the backpack).

Daniel plays at Carkeek Park.

Down at the beach at Carkeek, Camille leads Daniel by the hand
across a small freshwater stream.

Here I am, 40 years old minus a day, celebrating my birthday
at Golden Gardens with my favorite three year old.

After lunch, there was plenty of beach play for the kids.

Our bathing-beauty-in-residence enjoys a dip in the freezing cold
Puget Sound.

Daniel and Camille pose for me by the seawall downtown before
going to the aquarium.
