Here's the latest woodworking project, completed in October of 2007.  It's a set of three legged tables I designed.
It took me way too long (two years) to finish them.  Nevertheless, here they are:

I brushed off some geometry to get the aprons (the curved vertical members under the top) to meet the legs
at 90 degrees to simplify the joinery.

The cat joined me for one photo.

Here are the bookmatched tops.  The grain give a cathedral arch to the top.

This one has a bit of sapwood in the center.  I kind of like it.

Here is a detail of the pegged tenon.  I used cherry for the tops and the apron and jatoba for the legs.
The pegs are wenge.

The bottom of the curved leg.

It was a frightening Halloween here this year.  Molly was a witch and Daniel was a pirate.  Here's part of
his booty.  This was after hitting up the Market St. businesses, but before getting to the houses in the neighborhood.
The houses on 16th and 17th north of 65th were a gold mine.

Booty galore!

Arrrrrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camille went as a clown.  Here she's pleased that dad bought all her candy for $27.  (I'm a sucker. ;) )

Before trick-or-treating with Kasey (standing as a bear) and Tess (the mouse).

One day, Camille and Daniel gathered leaves at the Boy's and Girl's Club.

So much joy from something so pedestrian to adults.

Very pleased.

Here we are at a cabin we stayed at off Hood Canal for my birthday.

With the whole family.

Camille was very pleased to make dinner from a kid's cookbook.  We had "Wee Shepherd's Pie"
and a sort of wonton soup.  It was very tasty.  Dad was "sous chef" to Camille's chef.  Little did
she know but she was practicing kitchen and reading skills.
