We have a special treat this month - video!
Last year around this time, Camille told me several times that she wanted to be an acrobat when she grows up. I said, "That sounds great!" postponing the unexpressed thought that it doesn't sound like a great paying profession. So, I found a school of acrobatics in Seattle. For the past nine months or so, Camille has been taking lessons, concentrating on aerial work (rope and trapeze primarily).
One day earlier this month, Camille told me about someone who sang a song at the Monday Morning Assembly in front of the entire elementary school. I know she loves to sing and is in choir, so I asked her if she would ever like to sing at Monday Morning Assembly. She said she'd rather do acrobatics. We made the necessary arrangements, invited another student to join her (who just happens to be in the same acrobatic class and the same school).
As part of Camille's room renovations, I installing a climbing rope. Camille and Victoria practiced on it. They performed this morning (27 Mar 07) to a very rapt audience.
