We held an Easter egg hung near our house recently at a park
I'm helping to create. After the hunt was over, Camille walked
Fiona back to our house. There are more pictures of the kids
there.

I had them turn around for a photo. Fiona tried to
smile,
but with the sun in her eyes and candy in her cheek, it was
hard.

Kathy and Fiona join Daniel and Camille for photo at the
Easter egg hunt.

We had our eighth annual Mother's Day picnic at Discovery Park
(Even though Camille is six, I count the year when Molly was pregnant).

Camille shows off with a headstand.

Camille's attempt at a landscape shot with sailboats on Puget Sound.

After a bit, rangers (?) showed up with nets for kids to
gather bugs
in the grass.

Camille makes a dress out of a scarf; she's inside it.

Camille has the privilege of being our first child to break a
bone.
She fractured her distal ulna. We don't know how; she probably
fell on an outstretched hand. Here she ices her hand while
ensconced with her stuffed animals.

Daniel enjoys pizza that he made.

We got a gift certificate for two night's stay in Vancouver,
BC (Canada)
recently. Camille and Daniel show off their new Westin Kid's Club hats
-
sporty, eh? Or should I say 'toque'?

Camille shows off her spending money. She tried very
hard to
spend it on cheaply made trinkets. She bought a key chain (she
has no keys) and a small statue of dolphin (which her classmate
destroyed by stepping on it).

Camille dashes across an old railroad turntable converted into
a park
in the Yaletown neighborhood of Vancouver. Seeing her run on top
of the railing with a cast on makes you cringe, doesn't it?

Daniel maintains a more calm demeanor. Note that he
still prefers
skirts on many days. This is/was not foisted on him by either parent
or Camille. In fact, all of us try to persuade him to dress in shorts
or pants. But, he is not dissuaded. Will this come back haunt
him
later in life? Who knows?

Molly had the romantic notion to rent bikes for a jaunt around
Stanley Park.
She first had Daniel lined up for a trailing bike (see below), but he wanted
nothing to do with it. He prefers the more relaxed idea of a trailer.

Camille was, however, game to help push me along. She
wanted to
race with her mother and encouraged me to pass her if we slipped
behind.
