Camille turned 5 in November. Here she enjoys her
sandcastle cake.
Imagine her delight on getting the exact mermaid doll she requested.
Here she climbs out of a tunnel that Keith and Kathy gave her and Daniel.
Camille celebrates her birthday the Montessori way. She's enrolled in a new
school this year and they teach a bit of astronomy with birthdays. Notice her
Autumn outfit as she carries the globe (Earth) around Avrelle (her best friend),
who is dressed as the sun. She went around 5 times for each of her years on
Earth and told a little story about each of those years. I was told that she did
not lack for words.
As a special treat for Molly, an old friend visited from California with her
son Jackson. He helped participate in Camille's birthday celebration.
Camille models the latest in fashion. A new coat, hat, gloves, scarf and
umbrella. Come on Seattle, bring on your worst weather.
Daniel got a consolation prize on Camille's birthday. A brand-new
flashlight. Notice that he's still clinging to the tattered garage sale
dress from earlier in the year.
Molly celebrated her birthday a few days after Camille.
Nonna (my mom) came to visit at Thanksgiving. Daniel enjoyed cuddling with his
grandmother.

On a cold fall day, we went for a hike in Discovery park.
Soon afterwards, Hanukkah started. Camille and Daniel take turns lighting the menorah.
Of course, Santa also came. On the right Dad assist with the blowing up of balloons.

After Christmas, we had a one-day visit from my old classmate
Jeff Conrad and his partner Rowena, fresh in from Tasmania.
Camille in her puppet theatre. It lasted less than 48 hours.
Camille's possessions are so ephemeral.
We ended the year with a kid-friendly New Year's eve party (we
celebrated East Coast time - 9:00 PM). The girls are topless because
they thought it would be fun to get wet.
Camille was exhausted after all the mayhem.
