Here's our lovely abode in a coat of rare Seattle snow.

Molly's father is Jewish, so we also celebrate Chanukah.
Poppa Ron gave us a menorah with little people.
Camille enjoyed lighting the candles.
Molly doesn't sew much. But she did make a new
cozy comforter for Camille. Camille had to try it out
immediately on Christmas morning.
Camille is cozy in the tent she got for Christmas.
She loves playing in small spaces and is constantly
making "houses" out of blankets and our furniture.
She then furnishes the "house" with blankets, pillows,
stuffed animals, etc..

Camille wears the new dress-up skirt and headdress
from Auntie Robin. She's doing a curtsey. I don't
know where the expression on her face came from.
This was actually a birthday present for Camille from
Poppa Ron (the stamps, that is). Camille can spell her
name, 'Mom', and 'Dad', but needed help with the other
names.

On New Year's Day, we headed to the frozen North.
We were invited for the weekend to stay with Lise and
Brit (and their parents). Keith, Kathy, and Fiona also went.
They have a home in Kamploops, British Columbia. We
woke up to a temperature of -5 degrees F one morning.
The three girls got matching outfits from a store called
"Please, Mum".

Camille got on skis for the first time. She adores Lise
and Brit. Anything they did, she wanted to do. So, she
was very motivated to ski with them. Here Camille and
Lise are on skis in the bitter, bitter cold. Daniel wouldn't
have much to do with the cold weather and ended up
drinking a gallon of hot chocolate in the lodge.

The next weekend, we headed to sunny Southern California.
Daniel plays on a lifeguard platform in Hermosa Beach. It was 75 degrees.
Joe and Elizabeth treated us to a lunch. After much
cajoling from me, Camille poses with them.
After lunch, Daniel naps.
On to a visit with the cousins, here Kiara is dressed
as a "Martian kitty".
