Simon, Daniel, Hazel, and Camille hang out in the tub after
playing hard in the back yard.

One Thursday (a Daddy day as the kids call it), I took them on a hike to a lake. It
might have been Ollalie Lake. On the right, Camille holds a small bug.
And then, it was off to the Oregon coast for a week's vacation. We went
with two other families and their children. We rented a house just south
of Cannon Beach.

Some tidepooling and chasing after Daddy.

On Short Sand Beach in Oswald West State Park, we found this ray (or skate?)
trapped in a tidepool. It was very much alive and seems to have made it out
to the ocean as the tide came back in.

On the beach, Brit, Camille and Lise beat out some music
with makeshift instruments.

Kathy had a birthday. Here she blows out the candles on her
sandcastle cake.

Here's little Fiona. Notice the self-applied yogurt conditioner.

Kathy teaches Yoga to the wee ones.

Daniel plays with blocks.

Daniel finishes his dinner like a big boy.

Cuddling with our youngest.
On our hike to Short Sand Beach.
In the front, Camille, Brit, and Lise.
Second row: René, Ann, Keith with Fiona, and Kathy.
Back row: Daniel, me (David), and Molly.

The Canadian contingent - Brit, René, Ann, and Lise

Kathy, Keith, and wee Fiona.

A couple of Ha'oles - Keith with his windsurfing board, which we used as a surf board.
Me, just moments before I hit the deck.

All the kids were great together. They played very well together and very vigorously.

The hot tub sat on the roof with an awesome view. It got a lot of use.

Ann was very kind and gave all the (bigger) children art supplies to
tide them over on the rainy, cooler days.

A parting shot. How cute can they get?
